Younger twin to Julia Thorne Blackwolf, parent of Sydney Blackwolf

  [Source]

Laura Irina Blackwolf is the younger twin of Julia Thorne Blackwolf. Born on August 23, 1990 (? see here for Continuity Issues). Considered the more intelligent and perceptive daughter, Laura helped her mother in her Senate campaign and in her successful Presidency campaign. At some point, Laura discovered the existence of Jenna Sweet.

She is younger to Julia by 12 minutes. Deeper and slightly more philosophical, Laura also spent a lot of time on computers, and was the family's resident technophile as seen by her apparently adept knowledge of computers (she is at least capable of using fileshare programs). She was a student of the Pleasantview Academy in her hometown, and was a successful student there.

She has dark hair similar to her father's, as does all her siblings. While Laura and Julia are identical twins, she has mentioned before that she and her sister at some point branched out and became different people - both in terms of personality and in terms of looks. This point in time is around when she was ten to eleven years old. When she was born, her esteemed mother Jennifer was still working in the military. Laura founded along with her sister their blog although she is the primary poster there. She continued to post there even after the Conspiracy of B story arc finished, where she delved slightly into the Broder Research story arc. Her first post was on June 28, 2005 and her last post made on March 10, 2006. Her ID online at her blog is "laura_b". Unlike her twin sister Julia, she does not have a Blogdrive profile page. She is also known to use fake identities when dealing with people online, of which one of them is Maiara Pera. She apparently kept this name for quite awhile, even after her disappearance.

She does, however, have a Myspace profile page. It is not regularly updated.

Her mother was still in the military when she and her older twin was born. Both girls were enrolled into the elite Pleasantview Academy when they were children, something not achieved by either of their parents. Laura was said to have been closer to her father. Laura does not resemble her mother the way Julia does, though this branching out of looks did not occur until they were about ten years old.

In terms of canonicity, her future branches out greatly. In the original version she later became a member of the police force and became a Lieutenant of the Pleasantview Police Department. Her law enforcement career was not spectacular, but was stable enough for her.

Her Future, In Variations

Untitled Island Story (Discontinued)

In this variant of her future, Laura continues directly from where she was last in the Broder Research storyline. At some point when she is around eighteen years old, she discovers the existence of the 672 cult and makes an interested approach to it. She meets the cult's leader Gary Venables and joins it. There at the island she also comes into the possession of a book known only as The Index (The Index, later interconnected to be Arturo Des Maine's Index in the discontinued 672 Sequence). In this concept/variant, Laura eventually becomes Marchioness Elizabeth, the only aspect of the storyline that was taken into the more recent and more canon piece, Death Of A Family.

672 Sequence (Discontinued)

In the 672 Sequence (even less canon that any other listing here), Laura eventually discovers the existence of the 672 cult by an obsession with a coded book. Throughout the long, unrelated storyline eventually she would be inducted into the cult - the only outsider ever inducted to the cult in 50 years - and even later replace Belinda Mann, her mentor/enemy as the Avatar of the Goddess Astraea.

Death Of A Family

What Do You Mean?

The title of this article is speculation.
Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual information is derived from conjecture. Please see the reasons for this title in the "Behind the scenes" section below, and/or the relevant discussion on the talk page.

In the Death Of A Family story arc, she did disappear and did become Marchioness Elizabeth. Furthermore, she definitely had one child: Sydney Blackwolf whom she handed over to her mother to raise. It is further speculated that she had another child, Violet Blackwolf, and possibly might be pregnant with a third (whom she believes might be her son, and somehow fears will be her demise). No known name is given to whom the father is for either of these three children.

  • Note! - only one child is concretely attributed to Laura Irina Blackwolf, Sydney. Violet is, as mentioned on her page, a conjectural link. It is possible that she does not even exist... or hasn't yet.

Behind The Scenes

Laura Irina Blackwolf, indeed the younger twin, was named after the character played by Lena Olin in Alias - Irina Derevko. Irina Derevko used an alias in her marriage with Jack Bristow, named Laura Bristow. Therefore, Laura Irina is derived from both names.
